Child Development Activities

ACTIVITIES PERFORMED FOR DUMB & DEAF CHILDREN:

The focus of work was on specially-abled children in society including dumb & deaf, mentally challenged, handicap & blind children. The following activities were performed in this decade

ACTIVITIES PERFORMED FOR DUMB & DEAF CHILDREN

• Arranged drawing & craft workshops at special school areas annually.

• Conducted Competitions like – drawing, craft, handwriting, essay writing, rangoli (Indian cultural art), etc. As well as some indoor and outdoor sports competitions were arranged according to children’s interest.

• Prize distribution was arranged along with selection of best student award amongst these children’s which motived them to develop their special skills.

• Celebrated every cultural and social festivals along with these children to make them feel special.

• Also celebrated every birthday of self and loved ones with these children.

• These activities were conducted at ‘Nivasi Mukh Badhir School, Gadhinglaj’ with help of school staff. All the mentioned activities were conducted every consequent year since 2013. And funds were used from personal savings.






MENTALLY CHALLENGES CHILDREN

• Celebrated cultural events with children every year.

• Distributed food & fruits in Frequent intervals.

The aim was to make them feel happy and show them that ‘we care for you’.



HANDICAP & BLIND CHILDREN

• Provided financial help.

• Provide monthly groceries at critical time (also in lockdown)

• Help to start small income source.

The work was done for selected child who is a beggar & stays near temple located in Gadhinglaj.



ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED FOR NORMAL CHILDREN

• Food distribution at slum area children. (below poverty line children who are malnourished)
• Distribution of educational materials to tribal (people living in forest) children to help them bring in flow of main stream.

• Clay fort making competition in Diwali holidays every year.

• Rangoli competition at town level along with big prizes.

• Arranged guest lectures for school students on educational subjects with help of expert teachers, session for legal knowledge from Judge, anti-ragging & women protection sessions with help of Police officers, personality development sessions with help of writer & journalists, etc. activities were conducted in year 2014-16.



ADOPTED A BOY & GIRL FOR THEIR EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

• A boy and a girls educational responsibility was taken for 3 years. The educational material, school fees, tuition & other facilities were assisted.

• All the funds used were from personal savings.

• Most of these activities were performed in school days.

• In total 300 activities were conducted.
